History

Launched at the Aspen Ideas Festival in July of 2014, the Higher Education Video Game Alliance is the leading academic association advocating for the critical role video games play in higher education, industry, and government. Born out of Constance Steinkuehler’s work after serving as a Senior Policy Analyst in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, and building from a board comprised of key leaders in higher education, HEVGA has been at the forefront of advocacy, research, and expert thought leadership.
